How to Get Here
- When you save a new contact, you may see a blue informational banner warning you that their email has been found on the Dark Web.
- To view the details, navigate to that contact's profile and click on the Dark Web tab.
Understanding the Information
The grid on this page is intended to show a list of every known data breach that included this contact's email address. The columns provide important context:
- Company Name / Domain Name: The name of the company or website that was breached (e.g., "Visa," "LinkedIn").
- Items in Breach: What kind of information was exposed in that specific breach (e.g., "Email addresses, Passwords").
- Description: More details about the breach incident.
- Sensitive / Spam: Classifications that indicate the severity and type of the breach.
What This Means For You
This information does not mean the contact is a risk, but it does mean their credentials may have been compromised elsewhere on the internet. It can be a helpful indicator of their overall digital security posture.
