Introduction
The Send Messages module in Brilliance CRM lets you create and send communication campaigns via Email, SMS (text messages), and MMS (text with images/video). This all-in-one tool supports campaign scheduling, contact group targeting, web display options, and message cost tracking.
How to Get Here
- From the left-hand menu, go to Communication > Send Messages.
- To begin a new message, click + Add New.
Step-by-Step Instructions: Creating and Sending a Message
1. General Tab – Define the Message Settings
Enter your campaign basics:
- Description / Subject – Internal label + email subject line
- Scheduled Date / Time Zone – Select when and where to send
- From Name / Email Address – How your message appears to recipients
- Regarding – (Optional) associate with a specific CRM record
- Sent To Group – Choose a subscriber group
- Template – Load an existing message design
Toggles:
- Scheduled – Enable to delay delivery
- Show on Website – Display to anonymous or logged-in users
- Add Tracking Tokens – Track opens/clicks (email only)
- Send Test Only – Use for preview/testing
- Send As Email – Toggle ON to send email
- Send As SMS – Toggle ON to send text
- Send As MMS – Toggle ON to send text with image/video
2. Shared Image Tab – Upload Media (Optional)
- Upload a Shared Image for use in the portal, or MMS campaign.
- You can delete or replace the image later.
3. Compose Your Message
Only fill out the tabs based on the toggles you enabled.
Email Tab
- Use the built-in editor to create your email body.
- Add formatting, links, emojis, or raw HTML if needed.
Tip: If you selected a template in the General tab, it will preload here.
SMS
- Enter the SMS message text (Insert limit)
- Short, clear, actionable messages work best.
- No formatting, just plain text.
Example:
"Reminder: Your appointment is tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
MMS
- MMS Image URL – Paste a hosted URL for your image/video
- MMS Body – Enter accompanying message text
MMS lets you include richer content like promotions, event flyers, or branded messages.
4. Cost– Track Message Cost
See a breakdown of how many messages fall under your current plan, and what you’ll pay for any overages.
Columns include:
- In Plan Qty / Cost
- Overage Qty / Cost
- Total Messages and Total Cost by message type (Email, SMS, MMS)
Export to Excel for billing or internal reporting.
5. Save or Send Your Message
Top-right buttons:
- Save Communication – Save and return later
- Save and Send Communication – Send immediately or at the scheduled time
Expected Result
Your message will be logged in the Send Messages grid with info such as:
- Description
- Sent Group
- Delivery Method(s)
- Template used
- Scheduled time
- Web display status
