This is an overview of the Document's module. Documents within Brilliance CRM can be made public or kept private based on the rules that are set.
- General
- Description: This is the description to the document. Think of this like you would the title of a book.
- Category: The category of the document.
- Category (Add New): If the category doesn't exist for the document you're uploading you can quickly create a new one but typing it here.
- Document Date: This is the original creation date of the document.
- Tags: Any tags to further categorize a document.
- Document: The document that you are uploading.
- Active: Whether the document is active or inactive. If the document is not active it will not be available to be viewed.
- Allow Anonymous Download: Documents are originally set as private. If you want a document to be available externally you would check this box. If this isn't checked the user has to be logged into the system and have access to the document.
- Preview
- Preview currently works for images and shows the preview of the image. We will be adding PDF and other documents that can be previewed in the future.
- Description
- This is the full description of the individual document.
- Additional
- Regarding: What module is related to, if any. This can be Accounts, Users, News & Events, Projects, Tasks, etc.
- Start Date: The start date the document is available to be downloaded and viewed. If the field is empty, there is no start date and any date before the end date is valid.
- End Date: The end date the document is available to be downloaded and viewed. If the field is empty, there is no end date.
- Name: This is the document filename and is a read-only field.
- Size: This is the size of the document and is a read-only field.
- Type: This is the type (e.g., Image, Document, Spreadsheet, etc.) of the document and is a read-only field.
- External URL (Visit): If the document is an external document, outside of the system, you can put the URL here.
- Document URL (Visit): This is the link to the document for someone to view.
- Views: The number of people that have viewed this document through the Document URL link.
- Note: If this is an External URL the views doesn't get used.
